Australian Cypress is a relatively small tree and so the most readily available board sizes are narrow and this is reflected in the pricing of the final product. The most commonly sawn board is 4” x 1” or, in metric measure, 100 x 25mm. This is used to produce 85 x 19mm flooring or 90 x 20 decking. Narrower sizes are also available and are slightly cheaper. Wider sizes are more expensive and availablity diminishes as the width increases. The widest one-piece solid floorboard that we can do is 180mm.
