Ecquality Timber Products was established in 2008, but it is an offshoot of a venture established in Australia in 1997. The Australian company was initially engaged in consulting and trading in both minerals and timber, but in recent years has focused totally on the manufacture and sale of its timber products. Ecquality Timber Products was established as a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise (WOFE) under the Foreign Investment Law of China in July 2008. The new company has enabled us to produce better products at more competitive prices than was possible in Australia.

Philosophy
Our business philosophy is simple. Our customers want great service, top quality products and reasonable prices. We understand that we need to deliver consistently in all of these areas to earn customer loyalty. These basic realities are at the core of everything we do.

Our company name also reflects our commitment to the sustainable production of high quality products. It is derived from the Chinese characters which refer to concepts of Environment/Ecology (環）and Quality/Superior/Kindness (優). In Chinese our name is read “Huanyou” and in Japanese “Kanyu”.

Environmental Policy
Our company only buys timber from legal and sustainable sources. We only source from reputable suppliers and do not trade in threatened species. We are moving towards full chain of custody certification for all of our products.
